    Dear Nancy and family, today’s ceremony was a wonderful testament to how Ross lived his life – he lived large and he touched many. I was truely inspired and touched by all the words you and your children said today but also all the words and stories from others gathered. I am at your service for anything you or your family might need in the coming weeks and months – Respectully, Cheryl

    Dear Nancy and the entire Gibson family;
    I am truly sorry for your loss. I have countless hours of enjoyable times hanging out with Ross in Dorval building and racing cars. Even though it was just plastic models and Hot Wheels at the time he sparked my detailed interest in things automotive, which has never left me. It was great to see him and catch up at the Dorval High reunion in September 2013. There I was also pleased to see firsthand his facility for the Frisbee was still there. That was something else I enjoyed a lot with him and with others; our usual field of play in the day being various streets. On the day, and even more so now, it is a special memory to have been tossed the disc by Ross (and to have caught) one of his long bombs for a TD during the reunion afternoon’s retro-game on the DHS field..
    He was a great guy and I will miss him.

    It is always difficult to put into words a loss such as this. My deepest sympathy Nancy. I was (as we all were) a very fortunate person to have known Ross in my life. I knew Ross as far back as elementary school and again in high school. Later, on occasion, as we would walk to and fro from Union Station reminiscing about Dorval and “where are they now.” I also had the great opportunity to drive with Ross to Montreal for the 40th reunion. Through the countless stories and catching-up one main theme highlighted Ross’s commentaries, and that was his love for you and his family. He truly believed he was “ the luckiest man on earth.” Take care Nancy, his smile will be sorely missed.

    Dear Nancy and family;

    I was shocked and saddened to learn of Ross’ passing. We grew up together in Dorval, went through elementary and high school together and shared many of the same friends.

    Ross was passionate about everything he did, from floor hockey to frisbee football, to cars, to graphic design, to a really interesting career with RBC, the Caroline Hurricanes, Hamiltion Tiger Cats and to his Expedia cruise agency. I was looking forward to booking a cruise with him soon; I guess its not to be.

    It was great to see Ross in Calgary and then last year at the Dorval High reunion. He had a photographic memory and brought up things I had long forgotten. He went out of his way to say hi, to smile and put you at ease.

    My sincdere condolences to you Nancy, Jim and the rest of your family. My thoughts will be with you. Life is really too short. Ross will not be forgotten.

    My heartfelt condolences to Nancy, Ross’ Children, his Dad and brother Jim.
    I grew up on the same street as the Gibsons. Ross was friends with my older cousins. Ross in fact used my Aunt’s garage to restore and paint cars. I was 10 years his junior…and so a young kid to an older teenager. He was someone I looked up to. He was someone who joked with me and made me feel like I mattered. He asked my opinions. He treated me like I was just as special as the “older kids”. My favorite memory of Ross was him driving a flat bed with my Aunt’s piano on it down the streets of Dorval while Mark, his friend, played some loud blues on it. He always had time to help my Aunt- even to help her move her piano! Pretty awesome human being. Wonderfully funny. I am so sorry for your loss. He will not be forgotten.

    Dear Nancy & Family,

    As I mentioned on Ross’ FB page, I was so saddened to learn of his untimely death. Althoug he graduated from Dorval High a year behind me, I attended the “Meet & Greet” evening of the ’73 reunion last year and it was wonderful to reconnect with him.

    Please extend my sympathies to Jim. I don’t have contact info for him and while he was a year ahead of me at DHS, we spent a lot of time together at John Abbott College. My mom, Irene, also sends her condolences. She knew your late mother-in-law, Peggy, quite well as our families attended the same church for many years.

    Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
