RUSSELL, Jason Richard “Bird”

imagePeacefully, with his loving wife Krista Howarth at his side, on Wednesday April 22, 2015 at Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton, after a courageous 20 month battle with cancer, in his 41st year. Cherished daddy of Avery and Alexandra “Alex”. Dearly missed by his mother Ruth Johnson (Barry). Predeceased by his father Jim (Diane). Always remembered by his brothers Derek, Darryl, Rob and sister Tara, as well as nephews Jordan and Michael. Lovingly remembered by his in-laws Wayne and Shirley Howarth, his brother in-law Grant and niece Veronika. Jason touched so many lives and his loss is felt by many family members and friends. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive family and friends at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Monday April 27, from 6-9 pm. A celebration of Jason’s life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday April 28, 2015 at 11 am. A reception will follow. The family wishes to give a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of Juravinski Hospital & Cancer Centre, for their loving care of Jason. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jason’s memory to the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre Foundation (www.jhccfoundation.ca) or a charity of your choice.

    I am deeply saddened by the loss of my cousin / friend Jason. Jason was always kind hearted, always smiling, and never mean thought would cross his mind. Going to the Buffalo Bills games will never be the same without you there Jason.

    Very saddened to hear of Jason’s passing. His loss will be forever felt by his loving family and friends. My heart breaks for Krista,Avery and Alex who will miss his presence each and every day.
