SMITH, Muriel It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Muriel on Saturday May 27th, 2017 in her 83 year at the John Noble Home. Predeceased by her beloved husband Ken Smith (2002), loving mother of Corinne Smith and son in law Scott Britton. A very special and loving Nana to Kenny and Mitch. Muriel worked for RBC for 21 years before retiring in 1992. She was a volunteer at the Canadian Cancer Society, A member of the Red Hat Society and the Probus Club of Brantford. She was an avid spectator of Golf, Curling, Tennis and grew to love watching Hockey. Muriel was a beautiful, loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend and will be dearly missed by family and many friends here and overseas in Britain. A special thank you to Bev & Ian, Lynn, Pam, Linda, Gwen, Philyss, Courtney, Dianne and Blake for your love and support. Your visits meant more than you know. As well, to the nurses and care givers at the John Noble Home for your on going care and respect you provided my mum over the past year and half and the love and support you provided us all over this past week. To our many friends, we thank you for your outpouring of support and love during this sad time. I wish I could name you all. At Muriels request, there will be no funeral service. Cremation has already taken place. If desired, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society, The Terry Fox Foundation or the SPCA.
