The Skinny on Pet Cremation
Pet owners whose beloved companions are about to pass away can look into pet cremation. Some pets are so loyal and close to their owners that their loss can be almost as heartbreaking as a loss of a good friend or family member.
To prepare of their deaths, you can look into having them buried or cremated. Your pet’s veterinarian can help you arrange for either of these options together with their contracted companies. If your cat or dog is getting on in years or suffering from a painful disease, you can decide to put them to sleep. Thereafter, you can choose between burial or cremation.
If you pick cremation, you can have it done with other pets without having to segregate each animal’s ashes. You can also have a group cremation but with ash segregation and this is more expensive than the first one. The costliest option is to have the cremation done in private.
Once you are handed the cremation urns, you can opt to bring these home. Others may want to put the pet’s ashes inside lockets and wear these as pendants. Lastly, you can also scatter these ashes at places where you have many good walks or memories with your four-legged friend.
